Let there be Light
July 30, 2017
Genesis 1, The Creation AMP
In the beginning God (Elohim) created [by forming from nothing] the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void or a waste and emptiness, and darkness was upon the face of the deep [primeval ocean that covered the unformed earth]. The Spirit of God was moving (hovering, brooding) over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. God saw that the light was good (pleasing, useful) and He affirmed and sustained it; and God separated the light [distinguishing it] from the darkness. And God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.

John 1:1-5 The Deity of Christ AMP
In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. He was [continually existing] in the beginning [co-eternally] with God. All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him not even one thing was made that has come into being. In Him was life [and the power to bestow life], and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines on in the darkness, and the darkness did not understand it or overpower it or appropriate it or absorb it [and is unreceptive to it].
Jesus Christ, the Light of the world has been since the beginning.
John 8:12 NLT
Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
Jesus is Light to our lives and to me living in the Light means that I rely on Jesus showing me the way to go.
Psalm 119:105 NIV
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
I rely on Jesus to be a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Jesus dispels our darkness and keep us from stumbling.
It has been one year since God revealed His Love for me in a significant and personal way and I hold on to the memory of those specific events. His perfect Love has graciously helped me grow deeper in relationship with Him and my faith has become stronger. His Light has guided my way.
God is a good good Father and He longs for us to know Him more deeply and spend time close in relationship with Him.
God gives us His Word, so that we can learn more about Him and gain knowledge and power by the promises given to us in it.
I make time to read God's Word, I make way to receive God's power.

Studying the Word is important for our knowledge so that we may know God and for our mental wellbeing as it encourages and gives us hope.
Hope for our eternal destiny and Holy Spirit presence to sustain and strengthen us while we are running our race.
The Word has power to change us and by reading the Bible we can renew our minds to live accordingly in a life of abundance.
Hebrews 4:12 NIV"For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
Praying the Word of God over our life situations engages us to fight our battle of truth against all the lies our enemy will bring to try and defeat us. Jesus Christ has already won the battle of life over death for us and we but only have to step into that power by plugging ourselfs into our Source.
2 Cor 10:4-5 NIV
The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
In her book Battlefield of the Mind, Joyce Meyer explains that we can have victory over the lies of our enemy when we know God's truth that is in His Word.
Knowing God's Word is so powerful.
Study the Word, pray, confess it out loud; open your mouth, speak and sing it! When you know the truth and act accordingly, you will be set free. The truth is always revealed through God's Word.
We need to learn to study and fill our prayers with the power of God's Word, seeking the authority of God's Word and the right of our need according to
Psalm 9:10 NLT Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you.
God gives us everything we need to overcome everything we face in this life, we can trust Him.
Our Father God wants us to know how much He loves us and that He has a good plan for our lives. No matter what happens our God can make everything work together for the good.
Rom 8:28 NLT
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
From God's Word comes wisdom, make time to study it as a priority on your to do list.
John 8:31-32 AMP
So Jesus was saying to the Jews who had believed Him, “If you abide in My word [continually obeying My teachings and living in accordance with them, then] you are truly My disciples. And you will know the truth [regarding salvation], and the truth will set you free [from the penalty of sin].”
Fill your prayers with the word of God.
Joshua 1:8 AMP
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful.
Continue until it becomes revelation given by the Holy Spirit.
Mark 4:24 AMP
Then He said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear. By your own standard of measurement [that is, to the extent that you study spiritual truth and apply godly wisdom] it will be measured to you [and you will be given even greater ability to respond]—and more will be given to you besides.
Remember; spending time with God puts everything into perspective!!
