Our God is such a Magnificent God that loves us and it is certainly a wonderful privilege to know and have a personal relationship with Him. I am so thankful to be ready and typing these words as I look forward to a sharing my heart-stirring with you.
It is February and already the first month of a new year, 2012 has swiftly past us by. Many of us are still excited about our new goals and dreams and confident about plans we have made. We have new hope. Some of us are already on our way to achieving our goals and others have given up after failing at New Year’s resolutions.
Proverbs 16:9 (NIV) “In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.”
Psalm 118:8 (NIV) “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.”
It is good for us to change the things that we can and give the things that we cannot to God who is able. There are many things in this life that are out of our control, we ourselves and people will disappoint and fail us. God never fails and it is best to strongly believe and have faith in Him.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
What is trust? In the dictionary, the noun, trust is defined as;
reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence. ; confident expectation of something; hope.
The Word says that we should put our trust in God. What better wisdom; to trust the Creator God who knows you and has a wonderful plan for your life!
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.
We can plan and God directs! When we trust we have peace of mind, we do not worry anxiously about the future or our problem when God knows us and promises us that He will take care of us.
Matthew 6:25-34 (NIV)
DO NOT WORRY.
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
God has already done many wonderful things for and in us and He will continue to. God is a faithful God. Do not doubt, do not worry; remind yourself of and count your many blessings. We serve a Great Omnipotent God, Who is a Loving Father, we can put all our trust in Him.
Numbers 23:19 (NIV)
“God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?”
Philippians 4:19 (NIV)
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
